Winshield Wipers won't turn off

My 98' SL1 windshiled wipers will turn on, but won't turm off until I shut the car off. Any ideas?

I have a '97 SC2 and when my alternator was on it's way out my wipers were going really slow. I dont know much about Saturns, but i'd say, have your alternator looked at
