Update on my new car :)

Not sure if anyone will care but going from a 94v6 auto to a 96 cobra is rediculous. I'm so happy I took the general consensus around here and just sold that thing. Granted its not as "nice" as my old car but its so much fun to drive. It has a bassani exhaust with an H pipe and what I later realized no cats. The thing is amazingly loud. It also has a cold air intake and a shift kit. I have a great feel for the car since its the same body style but I know its beyond my current skill level to go all out on it so I haven't gotten that far yet. At this point I'm still leaving every stoplight with a smile on my face though. I just got paid since buying it so I'll probably be on here asking some questions fixing the small things.

Am I groggy and hungover or did you say "shift kit"? The thing doesn't have an automatic, does it? 'Cause there weren't any automatic Cobras made....

Yeah I did and no it doesn't have an automatic. Maybe its called a short throw shifter or somthing? The guy who I bought it from just said a "shift kit" so I thought thats what they were called.

Re: Update on my new car :)

Probly has a shifter on it. If you want to tell, unscrew the shift knob and pull the bezel around it and the boot off. If there is a mushy rubber bracket thingy between the handle and the shifter, it's stock, if not, then remove the four bolts holding the lower boot off, and read what the shifter says, the brand will probably be stamped on it.

Re: Update on my new car :)

ok I tried to look at the shifter like you said it all I could find is on one side it said tri-axle and on the other forged. Is that stock or no? Plus its adjustable. If its not stock is that a good one?

On a different topic I tried to go to a junk yard yesterday and find 1 foglight. I have one and the brackets but need one more. Where would be a good place to look? This guy wanted 70$ so I know thats a ripoff. Thanks

What's funny is my v6 had a dual exhaust kit on it and I used to think that was loud
