Let's talk TB spacers...

Alright, being the mod freak that I am, I vave been wondering about TB spacers. Who here has one? Did you notice a difference after you installed it? What brand do you have? Any info is much appreciated.

Re: Let's talk TB spacers...

I know that a family member of mine wanted one on his 5.3 because he knew a guy that had one and it made his truck sound "like a race car" when he revved it up. Haha.

Re: Let's talk TB spacers...

They say TB spacers are to add about 8-10hp. So basically your not gonna notice an 8-10hp gain by just driving. Im sure it added power to my truck but as mentioned most noticeable was is the whoosh when you pull the throttle cable. For $100 i'd say its worth it.

You will definatley notice a 8-10 hp gain, its just that the TB spacer doesnt do anything but make a hissing noise!!! ANyone who has bought electric fans knows exaclty what it feels like to gain 8-10 hp!!

Re: Let's talk TB spacers...

I dunno...under normal driving i never noticed any gains with the K&N or TBS. I only noticed the gains when i was timed. 10hp is such a minimal gain i doubt you could tell just by driving.

Exactly my point...neither one of those things actually gives you 10hp they just say they do!! If you went to a dyno b4 and after you would notice about a 2hp gain actaully!!! Go get electric fans, they are said to give you about 10-15 hp...but as we all know, its really about 7-10hp and you can actually feel what 10hp really is under normal driving conditions and all!
