2003 2.5S tire question

I have a 2003 Altima with 205-65-16's and a 2000 Maxima with 225-50-17's. I could physically check this but thought I'd ask if anyone has done this already.

My question, Can I mount the 17's on the Altima?

I only want to do this as a spare for a long road trip I'm taking this summer. I measuered both wheels and the 17 is actually smaller "total height" than the 16. The 17 rim looks big enough to clear the rotor and caliper but does anybody know for sure?

Also, any recomendations on removing the oil filter on a 2.5 4cyl Altima without getting oil all over the "lower A-arm or frame one or the other"???????

I checked it out for myself. The 17's are about the same size as the 16's in total height and the rim is obviously 1 inch bigger. Not much of a difference in total width. In short they fit.
