code po122 and rpm revs high in park and drive
I have a 2000 Pontiac Montana and I have two problems that may or may not be related: I have been receiving a code PO122 and the engine revs as high as 2000-3000rpm both in park and in drive when it normally should idle at about 700rpm. I am aware that code PO122 refers to throttle position sensor, low input. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: code po122 and rpm revs high in park and drive
Have the throttle position sensor replaced. The computer accesses the position of the throttle to decide how much fuel to put in the engine. If the tps is bad then it will send too much fuel to the engine causing it to idle high.
