Trunk ajar Light

Hi... Thanks for reading... My red trunk light doesn't want to go out all of the time.. and sometimes it is dim.. or even goes out. When my doors are locked and alarm is on, the alarm goes off if light does not go out completely.

so, I guess my question is, am I alone or has this been an ongoing problem, and what is the answer ??

I think it may have been a connection problem... or do I need a new switch... trunk is also difficult to close....

Sounds like you need a new trunk latch. It houses a microswitch which tells the central computer weather the trunk is open or closed. I have seen that If the trunk is slightly closed sometimes the light wont be totally bright.
