e30 factory amp

I heard that there is a factory amp in the e30 that is about 80 watts. Is this standard or only with the ugraded factory stereo?

Anybody know?

im not really sure about a better factory system, but if you want a better system for your car, dont get factory stuff. Because its factory, it costs much more than you would for a system from a local place.

Thats forsure. The tape player just will never cut it so I bought a clarion to go in but I have read that wireing it in without bypassing the factory amp caused some interference noise. I could not find an amp in mine so I guess it was just for the factory upgraded stereo, not that it was much of an upgrade. Anyways, its in now and kick'en.
