Crossfire headlight question
Friend just baught an 05 Crossifre. He noticed that the headlights appeared foggy as if condensation were inside the lens. Also noticed that the glass has almost a feathering appearance to it. Is this a design characteristic?

No, it means that there is a leak in the headlight that is allowing moisture to get in such as a crack or a hole. This is usually caused by rock chips.

There is a leak in the headlamp, but it may be caused by some other cause (material failure, poor fitting, etc...). In that case your friend should visit his local Jeep/Chrysler dealer to have it replaced under warranty.

Re: Crossfire headlight question
Moisture in the headlamp is considered normal on the crossfire per TSB. Should dissappear after a few minutes w/ hwadlamps on.

Re: Crossfire headlight question
My dad's had the same problem...it actually did get it fixed under warrently but they still have that dusty look to them...if it bothers your friend too much just replace them for a couple hundred bucks...but it probably wont really effect your vision at night and its also not that noticable to people outside of the car unless they pay real close attention.
