got power, nothing else!!!
1995 grand am 3.1, every 2 or 3 weeks car just wont turn over. all lights ,radio, work. THe car doesn't even crank.most of the time if I tilt wheel, wiggle ignition or put car in park ,HARD, a couple times it will start and run great for a couple weeks. Then go to start it and nothing! Not just in am either I have gotten stranded after driving all day.checked ignition, nuetral safty switch, battery, starter relay, all fuses, changed starter.HELLLP!!!

there is a recall involving 1995 grand am's concerning the ignition switch, what they are saying is if you turn the switch to start the car and nothing happens it sometimes sends a voltage surge through the harness, sometimes it causes fires. might want to check with your local dealer, have your vin# handy, they can tell if your car is covered by the recall. sounds like the switch is defective anyway, nothing wrong with trying to get it replaced for free....
