H22A or Turbo

Hey there, I am trying to decide what to do with my summer savings. Does anyone out there have an opinion on an H22 or a Turbo, on a 97 4 dr Accord? :bandit: :smoka: :smoker2:

Go with the H22 engine first, it will give you a good start. Then you can put a turbo or nitrous oxyde, even a supercharger.

Peace y'all, Raph...

if u r gonna do turbo on a motor swap go w/the H23. the compression isnt right to turbo an H22. u wouldnt be able to run as much boost if u had turbo on the H22.

the h23 has 160hp which is non-vtec
while the h22 has 200hp which is vtec...

yes the h23 stock has lower compression, so then depending on what turbo set-up/tuning is done this will vary the HP...

but if you had the money to fully build the h22[lower compression pistons, port/polish, valves, etc] then that would be the way to go...

in super street or turbo [cant remember which mag] they had a story on a turboed h22 putting out over 500 Wheel HP, but its all about the $$$$$

yeah, if you have the money, get the h23, for the long run, but i would go with the h22 if you can only get one or the other

h23 9.8:1 CR
h22 10.0:1 CR

i don't see too much of a difference in the 2 compressions. for turbo will be better the f22 (A1 has only 8.5:1 CR) but there is less power.

i would go h22 then turbo
