2.2 to ecotec quick Q

I read this walkthrough: http://www.j-body.org/forums/read.ph...39259&t=239259

For a walkthrough on the 2.2 from a 95-99 to ecotec swap, but is it any different for a 2000 2200 to ecotec? I heard from some people it would be somewhat easier. All I need to know is the differences thanks.

On top of that, would it be better to take the tranny from the ecotec and use it, or is the 2200 tranny sufficient enough? Both are auto.

Re: 2.2 to ecotec quick Q

If he said both are auto, the isuzu/getrag problem should be irrelevant.

Now...do the tranny's bolt on? That's a question I can't answer. I thought they were the same tranny in the auto's from 95 up, but I could be wrong. If they are the same, then there would be no gain or loss with choosing either tranny.

Blah... they are all 4t40e auto's, but they are NOT interchangeable. Starter positions are different b/w 2.2 OHV and eco.
