Automotive Forums Skyline GT-R Racer Wins "Best Performance Car" Award at SEMA Import Auto Salon

Purpose-built Car Receives Top Award and Gains Exposure on ESPN2

GEORGETOWN, Kentucky - Just days ago at SEMA's Import Auto Salon (IAS) in Atlantic City, New Jersey, the Automotive Forums (AF) Skyline GT-R became one of the center pieces of the show. Crowds gathered to ogle the car and ask questions, the media took notice, and SEMA bestowed the car with their "Best Performance Car" award.

The show, which took place May 20-22, proved to be a great stage for the AF Skyline, as attention built throughout the run of the show. Company representatives got a great introduction from Super Street editor, John Naderi on Saturday during the feature car presentation. The car's origin, its strong history in Japanese endurance racing, and AF's Speed World Challenge race plans for 2006 were discussed.

"SEMA's IAS was a great platform to gain exposure for our Skyline and our plans for the upcoming race season," said Igor Sushko, company founder and president. "We're honored to accept the 'Best Performance Car' award, and we can't wait to show the world what this car can do on the track."

The show appearance will be followed by a test session at one of three fabled road courses: Road America, Blackhawk Farms Raceway, or Autobahn Country Club.
