I'm back! (part 2)

Ok, so immediately after my last fiasco with the 60s stang and an 04 cobra, I had turned. Well up ahead had been an early 90s LT1. I passed the guy at 60 thinking nothing of it. Well apparently he thought something of it because he zips up next to me and is just glaring at me. So at first I think this guy is pissed for some reason. But then he just takes off. So at first I'm thinking...I just had a great race 2 seconds ago...I should chill out for a minute or two and make sure I'm not being followed by the cops.

But as he slowed down and pulled up next to me again, reason went out the window and I decided to play. Basic jist...I walked him pretty badly from 50 to 100.

Well I finally get to the friend's house I was heading to, and nobody is there...wtf. So after waiting 20 mins, I decided to head home. On my way I pull up next to a 2nd gen eclipse...didn't see a badge but judging by the BOV...it was obviously turbo and worth a run. We both go from a light and it became apparent that I wasn't the only AWD car in this race. So we both get great launches and are pretty even through first.

The shift to second comes, and the guy never takes his foot off the gas...he just powershifts through it as I never heard a bov and the guy didn't even looked like he had shifted. So my attention goes back to the road and I see that I'm about a foot ahead...barely just a bumper. Third I begin to pull away, but he was sticking up pretty well. As I shifted to 4th and took it up to 115, the guy was still only a few feet off my back bumper. So his car had to be well into the 13s...so as I let off, he pulls up next to me smiling his ass off. We exchange a few comments and he says his mod list is pretty close to mine with a few fuel upgrades and a dyno-tuned AF controller. I nodded, and went on my way. Another 2 kills for the vr4.

Re: I'm back! (part 2)

I'm a bit northeast of philly. Everyone around here races, so all it takes is a quick drive to a friend's house to find a few decent races. It was nice to get back in it though, as I hadn't driven since Easter.
