i found two pair of 6x9 phoenix gold speakers. can i put 6x9 in the door panel?
i just wanna know if i can fit a pair of 6x9's in my door panels?so i will know to buy the 2 pair or just one pair. i have a 00 civic coupe. or will i have to buy a smaller size speaker for the panels.

I think it's 5 1/4" speakers that will fit in there, but you can always make 6x9s fit with some custom work. Just buy some speakers that fit properly.

he's right. get round ones that fit. oval speakers tend to has less naturnal sound than circle ones.

ok so i am going to get the 5 1/4 component set to put in the panels and the 6 x9's to put in the back (above the back seats). does that sound better.

Actually, they use/have "6½'s up front in the door panels, 5th gens have "5¼'s.

What I'de like to know though, it with minumal modification, can a 5th gen coupe that uses "6½'s for the rears be made to fit 6x9's instead?
