will the stock 00 civic tail lights-red/clear-fit on a 97 civic?

since i am getting new tail lights i am going to give my bro my stock tail lights instead of just letting them sit there. he has a 97 civic and i just wanna know if my stock lights will replace and fit on his car?cuz i always see tail lights that say 96-00 so i figure they will fit.:bandit:

actually, like the headlights I think they're different...they might look similar but they're not exact, someone w/ more knowledge feel free to respond

No they will not fit. The 99-00 Si ones are skinnier and longer than the 96-98 ones. You'd need to get whole new 1/4 panels and trunk and the whole schpeel. Easiest is to buy red/clears from autodynamic.com or something.

Yes 99-00 Civic taillights will fit on 96-98 Civics. It's the headlights that are different.

crap.. i was comparing 96 sedan tails and 99 coupe tails. I found a 97 tail picture and yeah.. They look dead on.
