Angry 95 Contour won't start all of a sudden

Help !! I have a 95 Ford Contour, it was running fine other than last week the temp gauge showed hot, water was low, seemed to fix that problem.
I drove it yesterday, no problems, parked it and tryed to start it this am, would not start. It almost turned over a few times but never made it. The starter sounds fine, the battery is fine, the alternator is fine.
I need some suggestions before I (Being a female) walk into a mechanic and get (You know what), ah it's a woman she won't know anything, let's replace everything.
I read everything in the forum about others having this problem. I have picked up on the O2 sensor, the MAFF, or MASS by some. Any other suggestions, or should I start here? I can here the fuel pump working, so it sounds like it's getting gas just fine.
Any help would be appreciated, I want to be able to go into a mechanic and say I need you to hook up my car to the diagnostic machine I think I may have a bad ____ or a bad____.
Thanks Guys and Gals if your out there.

So far no responses, come on guys.
Here's what I've tried so far, I can hear the fuel pump running, The ignitor module sparks, The battery ground wires are fine. Even checked the fuel line to the engine and yes fuel shoots out. Anything else I can try before the diagnostic machine???

Re: 95 Contour won't start all of a sudden

Glad you're back up and running. Sorry there were no responses to your problem. There's a very active help forum at http://www.contour.org you might want to try if you experience another problem. I've gotten a lot of help from there. Take care.
