I have a problem starting in the morning and when the vehicle is idle for some time. I have to remove the air flow meter by the air filter and spray some starting fuel and she starts right up. Please help, it's driving me crazy, since I've tried everything else. Any suggestions are welcome.

Re: Problem starting in the morning or when I haven't use it for some time
This sounds like my van was. Mines' a '97.
A bit of starting spray, and it starts and runs fine. My fuel pump was weak, and after replacing it, it starts great every time. Have you tryed priming it? I found that by running the pump (turn the key) for the 2 seconds the computer will run the pump, then pulling out the key, try again, and again. Ususally 3 primings would get it to start, until recently. I borrowed a pressure guage. I had 59 lbs after several seconds of priming. A GM sevice center told me "minimum 60 psi" But changing the pump cleared up the problem. Good luck |
