99 silverado belt problem

whenever it is wet out or on a damp morning, their is an annoying sweek coming out from under the hood. when it is dry, there is no sweek. i spraying some WD 40 in the alternator, ac, and the tensioner and the sweek went away from about 30 seconds then came back. i'm thinking the bearings might be gone in something. anyone have any ideas?
Mike

I would start with the alternator. I would take it off and have it tested at you local parts store. If it's bad enough you can hear the bearings making noise turning it by hand.
