SP ride - do you lose comfort?
I'm hearing so many things on the sports package (325i or 330i). Is the ride noticably different (rougher) with the package than without? I hear it's more comfortable without, but you lose in handling and performance. How much "performance" do you need drinving around town. Just trying to see both sides. Seems most people really like, would love to hear from people. What about the wheels and how that affects the ride......... tough decision for me - HELP!

Before I bought my 2001 325i with the Sport Pkg, I test drove both. The SP gives a harsher ride. Combination of suspension settings and lower profile tires (225/45's on a 17" wheel) is cause as far as I can see. Additional benefit from the SP is the upgrade to the seats. They're more supportive and hold you in place better under harder driving. The regular 325i is fine but, for me, the Sport Package makes it better.

SP
I believe the "SP" should be just fine especially if you live somewhere with pretty smoth roads like say....Arizona.

Becky, If you haven't already, drive a 325Ci or 330Ci WITHOUT the sport package. Their base suspension is the same as the 325i/330i's sport package. It could be slightly different, only because of the 17" wheels on the 325i/330i, but still very close.

Thanks
Thanks to those that resonded to my post. I actually did decide to get the SP. A friend has suggested that I get a pillow just in case I don't like it. But I'm sure I'll like it. Thanks again.
