brakes?!?!?

the other day while driving home from work i noticed that my brake light came on and stayed on all the way home. when i got home i looked in my owners manual and read what it said about the light being on .... not good! over the last few weeks i haven't noticed the brakes feeling any differnt BUT i have noticed a lot more brake dust on my front rims and that my front rotors are a lot hotter to the touch than my back ones. i bleed the brakes and checked the fluid and that worked fine for about a day then the light came back on. i could hear my brakes kind of dragging when you hit them like they were wore out and needing replaced i changed the back ones and that worked for about 30 minutes and when i pulled back in my drive way and shut the car off and restarted it the brake light came back on. please help me b/c i REALLY like my car but i know it is going to cost me a furtune to get this fixed. i have an apointment at my local VW dealer on thurs., any advice would be greatly appreciated.
