reflashing

Ok, here's a few questions that I had. Would it be better to buy a new ECU for my 91 ls, or reflash my current comp? Or am I just going about this the wrong way? Is there anything else that I should do while I'm doing these things? Or should I just not bother with this car?

Re: reflashing

Depends on what you're doing to your car. Are you going forced induction? Are you doing an all motor build? Or just adding bolt-ons? Was this a swap done or the stock engine? You're going to have to give a lot more info if you want help, because no one knows what you've got or what your plans are.

Re: reflashing

I'm going for just bolt ons right now because of a limited budget. Hopefully I'm going to go turbocharged in a year or two, but right now the engine is a stock B18A with just some new spark plug wires. I just want to know if this would be worth it.

Re: reflashing

Then no, it'd be a waste of $ to chip it if you will just have bolt-ons. Just wait until you turbo it, and then worry about it.
