ok... it seems to me that they dont really list swap packages for 6th gen civic... what i was wondering was if i were to buy a swap package for a 5th gen, is that the same package i would use in a 6th gen? and do you think it would be better for me to put some bolt ons to my stock dx engine or but a vtec head on it... whats the HP on my engine anyways, i think its like 127 or something? i dunno... ok so it was like 4 qestiosn

You have 106hp, the hx has 115hp. And of course he could put a k-series in there, but for the majority of people that's not cost effective to say the least.

I'm assuming by package you mean the complete swaps. There are a few problems with putting the "5th gen" (obd1) swaps in 6th gen. 1 is that depending on your state, there may be a law against putting an older engine into your car. In those states, you have to have an engine that's either the same year or newer. 2nd is the OBD differences. As long as your state allows you to put in the older engines, you will need to do some wiring as well as buy an OBD2 to OBD1 conversion harness so you can physically hook up the new ECU to your car. Then there is the problems with the plugs for the alternator and the distributor (you could either buy new ones or wire the connectors yourself).
