96 maxima won't start

Hi. We are having a terrible time with our daughter's maxima...The altinator belt broke, we replaced it but the car wouldn't start. We tried charging the battery and then bought a new battery. It still won't start. Could it be the security system needs resetting? If so, how do you do it? Any help is appreciated.

Batt off means reset, you've done that.

You dont tell what it now ...does... -all dead? click? dash lights/no?

Feel the inhibitor relay with finger as smbdy tries to start. Click? M/T cluctch switch, A/T gear selector sw, alarm, ALL affect inhibitor relay.
