tips

im getting ready to install some elderbrock tes headers and i was wondering if anyone has any tips or secrects that they can share that will make the header installation easier

I'm doing the same thing bud!!! Get rid of your ac and smog pump and your good to go!! I'm tryin to get rid of that stuff now, just need to know what i need to do it. Not talking about tools here.

yes, this will help you out alot,

GET A RATCHET WRENCH AND DODECTAGON BOLTS

by dodectagon i mean the 12 point bolts, this along with a ratchet wrench will make things a lot easier because there is not much room to put a ratchet or an air wrench or anything, so the less you have to take that ratchet off the bolt head the better. im telling you man from experience, get it, it will be worth it.

also make sure you have some good ass gaskets.

i removed my steering shaft and re-routed some brake lines on the driver side.

on the passenger side i had to remove the AC compressor and mounting bracket, the smog pump, and the heater core cover to get the darn things in. do a search on the forum, i did a blow by blow on my install in a thread on here.
