how can i redline higher?

Hi i own a 97 civic DX and i was watchin a video and this guy had his stock civicredline at like 9 thousand RPMs and i was wounderin how would u do that. i hear that u have to take off ur governer or somthin and how would i do that. thanks

the right way would be to build up the valvetrain so you can rev that high and not break anything, then taking off the governor. but there is no point if you're not making power all the way up to 9k.
