car problems
i have a 96 GST spyder. i was on the freeway yesterday, i down shifted, the press the clutch again to up shift, and ass soon as the rpm statred to go down, the inside lights dimmmed out, now im in 5th, and the car want to stop running, its feels like is about to stall. Anyways i pull over and turn the car off, the turn it on, and its doing the same thing, the lights are dimming out, if i press the gas they'll come back to normall, so i held the rpm's around 4000, and the it ran fine, and i drove it for about 20 miles so far, it works but my Check engine lights has been on since i started to pull over!!!!!!!!! it did this once b4, but that time was when i was in reverse and i stalled the car.

Re: car problems
Take the car to autozone and have them pull the code for the CEL.

Well your lights are doing that because they are running off your alternator and when its givin less pwr then the lights and etc. have less pwr 2 run off of so they dim...jst so u know, I wouldnt think the cel would coorilate what so ever sounds like a clutch issue, do you have to give it lots of throttle to get it moving all the time? or just on the freeway?

Re: car problems
k,i went to autozone and they said it was a 301 - a misfire in cylinder 1..
the car does not need a lot of throttle to get it moving |
