Need Help, 98 DX Hatch Intake System

I've got a little problem. My son has a 98 DX hatch with a D16Y7. We've got it to handle pretty good with tires, wheels, rear sway and front strut bar.

We're trying to find some sort of intake system that will work on his car. The problem is every intake system we've tried interfere's with the strut bar. I actually prefer to locate the filter in the same location as the stock air box.

The AEM 22-413 is close but angles across the engine compartment and doesn't quite clear the strut bar.

Does anyone know of an intake system that routes parallel to the firewall then forward under the strut bar?

TIA
Steve

Who manufactures the strut bar?

yah with the throttle body setup on the Y7s getting an intake that will fit without hitting a strut bar is difficult. I would talk to SilverY2KCivic. I believe he is still running his Y7 and he's a suspension nut.

Strut bar is an APC, raw stainless.

There. I found your problem.:P
Atleast you are doing things to your car. I am too lazy.
The answer is simple, choose which one you want the most, or make a custom, home made intake that circles around.

I want to get an intake, but I don't know if I am going with the y8 manifold swap, or not.
