Suspension Shudders

Whenever I hit decent size road imperfection bigger than a crack, my car seems like it has some "aftershock" or shudder for a split-second after the bump. My buddy says his GTP does the same thing and it is either his rear struts or his trailing arm. Any thoughts? My car's a '00 with 96K.
