95 sunfire... lack of power when cold?

Ok i just got a 2ed hand 95 sunfire.....Now it works great when i got it but, when i get up to go to work...The car will have no power till say 10 min later of driveing at low power and then it just kicks in like boom a small push back and everything is fine....But if i have to drive up a hill i can have the gass to max and the big hill will take me at like 5 km/h...
If i turn the car off after the 10 min or so it works fine but when it is cold.. it takes time for the power to kick in...I need ideas ...
