Whats wrong with the original tach?

oh and you have to directly connect it to the ecu. I can't remember the wire, so I won't post it so you can't fuck something up by trying it.

are there any adjustments on the back of the tach for different types of igniton systems?

drewh my guess is he wants a bigger one obviously his original one works if he knows exactly how far off the new one is

Some people tell half stories and lie about what they have and what they did. I was covering first base. wasted money.

I would also like to add that if you need a shift light, you need a auto tranny. If you can't manually shift in the right area, you need auto. Get you shit set to shift at max rpms.

mine did that too at first, the FAQs I read never seemed to wrk right 4 me, rather than trying to cnnct near the ecu or w/e try the middle wire comming off of the coil pack, its near or on the intake manifold, its a white wire, if that doesnt work then your tach is set wrong, play around with the 2,4,6 and see which one sets it right

Re: autometer 5" tach w/ shift light prob

werd, i have it wired to the 24 pin connecter on the white wire (rpm read out) i tapped into that wire. There are adjustments on the gauge for 4, 6 and 8 cylinder engines, i have it set to 4 cylinders. still only half the reading. Trying to figure it out once i get time, ill try to wire it to the white wire in the bay near the intake manifold like endless posted.
