slipping clutch or fuel filter?

I have been having a little problem lately... my car has been doing this weird jerky thing. It feels like it is either getting a ton of gas all of a sudden or feels like the clutch just re-engaged, im not sure which it would be. my gas milage has gone down a ton lately too..

id vote for the fuel filter. Does it normally occur when you first accelerate? Mine usually bucked kind of hard when it was cold outside and the engine hadnt warmed up yet.
