97 Heater issues

I have a slight problem here. For the longest time, if the heater switch was in the hot air position, it would blow cold air and vice versa. A local garage said the air box needed to be replaced. Well, instead of paying the $1000 they wanted, I found an air box and replaced it myself. This worked, kinda.

Here's what happened: Air box replaced and heater now blows hot air when switched to hot and vice versa. Problem solved, right? No. Now, hot or cold air only blows out of the front defrost vents, no matter what postion the flow control switch is in. Everything else works fine. I'm hoping this is an electrical problem because I REALLY don't want to tear apart the whole dash again.

Suggestions anyone?
