Angry black cars get dirty fast...

ya, it's me again, complaining about something else. i washed my car yesterday, and I took a good long time to do it and I made sure it was spotless when i was done. it looked good, except for all the minor scratches all over the side ;/. anyways, i took the car to the dealership because the passenger window broke, and now its back at home, fixed...DIRTY AGAIN. sometimes i hate my choice of a BLACK civic, because although when its clean (or at night when it looks clean) it is very sharp looking, it's too hard to maintain that image (my paintjob has also started to fade i've noticed). the car was pre-owned and they took horrible care of it, theres scratches on both sides of the coupe (mainly on the doors). any of you out there have a black car and willing to give me any tips? maybe i should just repaint it....

If they are light scrathches, that GS27 scratch filler will work... and so will a good buff job usually :o

But dont feel bad, all cars are hard to keep clean if you are trying to maintain a "clean show car type look" -- so you arent the only one suffering :finger:

Yup, that's one of the drawbacks of owning a black car. It just requires more maintenance and care. Make sure you use terry towels and special polishing and detailing clothes when you wash your car. Meguiar's products (swirl remover, polish, gold class wax, detailer, etc.) will all help enhance and make your color shine. Good luck.

It’s the same for any dark colour car. Mine’s not exactly black, but it’s really dark and it always looks dirty except for when I first wash it. Looks awesome though when it’s just been done.
