Place to learn to drive?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I can't find anywhere else to post it.

I'm looking for a large empty parking lot or something similar to learn to drive in, where we won't get kicked out of by security. I just got my permit a few days ago, and I live in the Atlanta, GA area.

Re: Place to learn to drive?

The hospital usually has a big parking lot. Also try the police station.

Re: Place to learn to drive?

I drive on the streets now...and i don't even have my permit! lol

I think the best is those huge public, non-paying, non-membership commuter parking lots. They're usually the largest and most empty at nights.

School parking lots work well, I learned in our high school parking lot when I was like 8.

I went out do an industrial park area on a sunday. High Tech companies also work well as most have no employees anymore.

Re: Place to learn to drive?

I learned at a big empty beach parking lot. I learned stick when my friend was too hammered to drive his car home (good thing he lived across the street from me!)

An airport runway is a nice long good stretch to learn on.

Aren't the police not able to punish you for illegal driving or driving without a license etc because youre on school property?

An airport is a nice place to test high speed. A better place would be on a video game since congress and some parents thinks video games stimulate real life.
