What sporty/semi-sporty cars are low on insurance?

I'm looking for a decent car that's low on insurance. When I turned 16, my parents wanted to buy me a cavalier or something like that, but I refused and bought my own Camaro (in my sig). I was going to be put on my dad's insurance, but he's decided to be a prick, and cut me off his insurance. I've got a job, and was going to pay for my insurance, but he's decided that I'm not allowed on his insurance. So, now I have to sell my car, and get something I probably won't like.

So, what sporty/semi-sporty cars are lower on insurance than the Camaro?

The only things I want to cut off my list are Hondas, Cavaliers, and Sunfires, everything else is open territory.

Re: What sporty/semi-sporty cars are low on insurance?

My 96 Impala SS has been with six different insurance companies. Since they are built on the same line with no special VIN designation, they call it a caprice/impala. Four doors, full frame, not much theft, dual airbags, child saftey doors, all go together to make it a pretty cheap one to insure.

They aren't many options as far as domestic's go...maybe a Grand Prix or a Monte Carlo.

For imports: Mitsu Eclpise, Eagle Talon, Acura Integra, Nissan 240sx, Toyota Celica, Preludes are sweet but you said no Hondas.

And some others that I can't think of (it's late).

a 86-91 RX-7 is not listed as asports car on insurance, only as a coupe. They are a Blast to drive and they have plenty of aftermarket support
