'60s Mini Muscle Ford
Hi,
if you are more in modern Japanese ‚Import Racers‘ or ‚retro‘ look-a-like muscle cars, STOP reading here. But if you were a child in the late sixties or early seventies and fascinated in your neighbors black steelwheel equipped, HEMI-powered Mopar or (if you grow up in Europe) and dreamed about cars like red Cortina GTs or Capri RS, look at these pics! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A friend of mine drove a silver/black 15m RS back in the early seventies and because of this I wanted to build this V-4 powered mini-muscle! My 1/25 scale ’68 Taunus 15m RS started live as the 12m TS-version (mastered by the GREAT Juha Airio) and casted by Replicas&Miniatures of Maryland. The kits band tach was converted by making more sporty round instruments and a deepdish steering wheel was added. Outside, the tiny wheels and tires of the kit were replaced by those from a Tamiya Lotus 7 kit, which steelwheels looked similiar to those used on the RS. A new grill with larger headlights and a pair of optional extra lights was scratchbuild. Black RS-decor was printed with a ALPS-printer. Hope you enjoy, Stefan |
