Mustang? Sports car? I don't know, call me crazy, but I thought a true sports car is a very light, very nimble 2 seater. Something like a Miata or and Elise is a sports car, last time I checked the Mustang was a wannabe muscle car eating Camaro dust.

The best pure sports car is the Corvette. Price/perfomance/looks. Its high in all of them. Sure others are better in one category or another, but its got it all.

But, if cost wasn't an issue, I'd be handed the keys to a F-50

I agree with what was stated above. I think sports cars are generally two seaters. My VR4s are sporty and fast as hell but they are not sports cars like the corvettes. They are grand touring cars. Hence the GT in the name.

i'd have to say a corvette z06 has the best bang for the buck performance. i mean the thing may lack in refinement and fit and finish, but for what performance you get for the dollar, it's hard to match. but i'd have to say the porche 911 GT2 money not an issue.

Sorry, 627 Bhp and a 1.5 million + USD price tag don't qualify as sports car, your in exotic territory, the upper end of it too.

It's really quite simply folks, Porsche 911

Damnit, I was hoping nobody would say the Elise, I orginally wrote that, but due to a certain <ahem> Name issue I was forced into saying the 911.

Hmm, sense others have said Elise I guess we arn't counting it as an exotic, so I'll go with the Elise too. If we wanna include roadsters in this the 340R.

I dont really consider GTRs sports cars because of the before mentioned deal with a sports car being small, 2 seater and such.

Same with the Vette and the Viper, they are muscle cars. I guess my mom rubbed off on me She drove an old Fiat (not sure what model) spyder, but it was tiny

I think that the best sports car under $100k is the m3. Over $100k has to be the Porsche 911tt or Gt2........
