US standards?
i was looking to get a Nissan Skyline, either R34 or R33, not sure yet, but i was wondering,,....how much would it be to ship from UK, Canada, or Japan? how much will it cost to make it pass the US inspections Legally (i already know illegal ways)? and will it be easy to get a vin number legally)?

Re: US standards?
you could only get r34's for a VERY short period. you cannot get skylines in the united states currently. no way kid.
now go watch 2f2f again, because thats all youll be seeing.

no thanks...2f2f is discraceful to street racing and street racers. and yes u can import skylines from japan because i know some people online who do it, i am just curious to what everything will cost to change it to US specs. i prefer doing things illegally, but i want to give a legal term a shot. i know my car shit, i aint no little kid.

dude, how are you going to come in and ask people for advice, and then tell them they are wrong. lol if you really want a skyline, move to canada and get an r32, they're legal now.

funny thing is i think he may be right.
i was reading an old copy of superstreet where they interviewed the asshole who owns Motorex and he said that they will help you get one into the country and legalize it for you. they of course will charge you, but i suspect it would be less than buying one they did themselves. they just siad that there are no gaurantees to the ones you find yourselves. |

Re: US standards?
You can't get an R34 legalized in the states. They are NOT on the list. The later R33s are not legal either. Forget it little one. Save up.

go here and click on the Conversion/pricing tab in the middle of the page, there you will find a list of the car model of the skyline, the year, and the price to convert it...i think this link speaks for itself. go...
