chec engine light???

ok i got a 92 civic si .. i swapped a b16a1 SIR 2 in there and i am using my d16z6 old wires.. well it works good n everything .. well hres the problem.. when i start my engine the engine light dosnt comes on.. but while im driving probly like 5 or ten minutes .. it turns on .. so verytime i turn off my car and turn it on agian the engine light is off.. then it turns on later while im drivin.. well i dont kno waht the problem is i have drivin like for 1hour and 45 minutes wit that light on and everytiihng is still fine.. but i want to no y it turn on so .. helpp please..
