check engine light

hi guys, my check engine light is on in my 01 3.5 aurora. also is starting harder than usual. any ideas?

It would be helpful to know the computer code as it makes it much easier to diagnose. If you don't have a code reader go to autozone or advance and they will scan it for free.

Usual cause of hard warm engine restart is bad fuel pressure regulator. pull off vaccum line and if you see fuel in tube you have a leaking diaphram in presssure regulator. change it about $45.00 on GM parts direct and your problem will be solved. Check engine lite must be solved via computer code reader.

If you want to read the codes yourself you will need a reader. Autozone will read them for free as long as the CEL is on.
