P1870 Manf. Trans. Cntl

My check engine light came on and Auto Zone code reader said Manufacture Trans. Cntl. Does anyone know what this means?

It means there is something broken inside the transmmision.The sunshell inside the transmission is common to break.I have seen that code about 3 times and the sunshell was broken inside in one of them and that set that code off

Thnaks for your response. I had the check engine light reset and it has stayed off for three days now. Do you still think something is broken? If something was broken would the check engine light come back on?
