Serp belt replace 1988 century, tensioner stuck ?
I need to replace the serpentine belt on a 1988 buick century custom (6 cyl). I am having a heck of a time getting the old one off.
That is a tensioner on there that I am seeing right? It won't budge. Or am I trying to meddle with something that is not a tensioner? |

Re: Serp belt replace 1988 century, tensioner stuck ?
THe tensioner has a 3/8" square slot for a ratchet to engage. Place the ratchet on "loosen" and insert into slot, then pull on ratchet and the serp will loosen. It's a bit tricky, and if you have a little help, the better for you.
