Unhappy Pulled Over

I was in pismo beach yesterday and I got pulled over I was in a Burger King parking lot trying to back out when this big ass jeep pulled up next to me, almost hit me, so I try to see around it and I can only barely so I back up to where I can see and this car is coming down the parking lot at around 30 so I hurry up and get out and drive off, unfortunately I had my skinny run-down donor tires on the car and I slipped, peeled out about 4 feet. I keep driving allitle mad about that, pass the light and I got the law in my rear view mirror. I try to explain it to him but he just keeps saying "uh-huh...uh-huh" and gives me the DUI test!!! Of course I pass and now I'm kind of offended. He says "Do I come to your town and drive like an idiot?"..so he says I passed the test and he has my information and he'll be giving it to the attourney or something...didn't give me a ticket. So what do I do, am I screwed? Do I have to go ALL the way back to go to court? I'm at a loss right now

Re: Pulled Over

he didnt write you a ticket? and he took your personal information? screw him, he cant do anything. if you didnt sign a ticket confirming you received it, hes got nothing. so even if he writes a ticket after, and then turns in his copy, you will get off. although they might put out a bench warrant for you, all it would take is a trip to the courthouse to state that you received no ticket and to ask to see the ticket copy with your signature of receipt

Re: Pulled Over

Sounds to me like he's just trying to "scare" you. I don't know how it is in Cali, but here in NY, they either write you a ticket or they don't. Sounds like just another asshole cop looking to harass an import driver. Don't sweat it man.

that's why you should always ask them for their "business" card, so you can always look their name up in the phone book

Re: Pulled Over

damn man ur not the only one to get pulled over this week for spinning tires, but the difference is, I DID GET THE TICKET!!! Yeah i got a Reckless Driving ticket. But I think it will be dismissed because he spelled my lisence plate wrong on the ticket. He wrote "THA FOOD" instead of "THA FODO". And he didnt put honda for the make hehehe. He put Handi or something.

Oh yeah and he said that since I was honest about the whole incident that hes gonna talk to the judge about dropping it to an improper driving ticket instead which is much smaller. He said just to remind him about it when i get to court.
