Should I buy this turbo?

I was offered a new T3 turbo for an 86 300ZX for $125. It is just the turbo itself. I plan on doing the SR next spring, but I was just wondering if you guys think I should buy it and just put together a cheap turbo kit until then, or is it a waste of time?

its a good sized turbo, I don't know the exact specs of it.....

Depending on what SR you buy that should make more power then the stock t-25 on a s13 sr20.

if you put it on a KA24 you wouldn't need to so a SR swap.....

Re: Should I buy this turbo?

Which do you want more? KA-T or SR?

No point in wasting money on that turbo if you are just gonna swap an SR in later. So make up your mind one way or the other.

Re: Should I buy this turbo?

So do you guys have any idea how much power I would make with a T3 turbo setup. I am not talking cheap ass stuff, but also not expensive ass stuff either. I am talking about using a top mount manifold and downpipe from ebay and stuff, but not no backyard PVC pipe put together.

Re: Should I buy this turbo?

ok, thats cool. I am looking to make no more than 250 to 300hp right now, so a T3 should be plenty big enough right. As of now I am looking into this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33742
What do you think?

Re: Should I buy this turbo?

For what? which tag?
I am also looking at this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

Let me know if you think any might be a good buy, because if they are, then I might go ahead.

Re: Should I buy this turbo?

On that second one then, how would I find a turbo pipe to hook up to it in order for it to connect with a downpipe because it has a 5 bolt on it and I don't know where I would get one like that.
