My dad has a 68 442 convert. He is the 2nd owner...bought it back before I was old enough to drive it.
(But once I was - holy cow! What a blast!) Anyway, my husband has been doing some work to it and we are scratching our heads....the front fenders do not have side marker lights! We know one fender was replaced by the original owner, but apparently the other is original...Any ideas? Maybe someone had a hangover on the assembly line? lol I have pics if you need to see them...thanks for your help! |

Re: 68 442 convert marker lights???
Front side marker lights should be the small rectangular ones that line up with the top of the bumper. Chances are both fenders were replaced and holes were not pierced and should have been put in before paint.

Re: 68 442 convert marker lights???
Yeah - that's probably what happened. We were looking inside the fenders to see if the holes were intentionally covered over, but it seems holes were never punched out. I guess that's what confused me, I assumed the holes come pre cut on fenders, but maybe they didn't.
Thanks. |
