Help Car Has trouble running

My car is a 95 cavalier w/ the 2.4 quad 4 engine. When it sits for a long time, 8 hours or more, when I start it up first thing in the morning, it runns like crap for the first few minutes and then runs fine after that. Its also been smoking alot more recently. White smoke. Any ideas?

Re: Help Car Has trouble running

the 95 didn't have a 2.4, it had a 2.3. Besides that, I'd look towards the head gasket or the piston rings. The head gasket isn't exactly known for its endurance on the quad4/twin cam motors.
