Please Help: is this a good deal?

I am looking at this car:

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...g=&max_price=&

Do you think this is a good deal? I see it might need its 60k mile tuneup which is what... $800? I am guessing it is a base model, but I really am not sure. It says price is negotiable. What do you think?

THANKS!

yes it says it is a base model and that year of the base model only comes with a 161 hp engine..which IMO sucks especially compared to the Vr4 no offense or anything but..granted it is a 97..kinda high mileage..personally i dont think its worth it cuz i got my SL with 79k for 5500..but thats just my opinions on it

I wish I could find a sl with those miles for $5500. All the ones I see with those miles are like 7000-7500

This one looks nice. The description is alittle vague. I emailed them though.

I do not know if it would be a good idea to pay, get it shipped without driving it, plus its not an sl?????????

Re: Please Help: is this a good deal?

I'll tell you right now if you want to go fast, this is not the deal for you....if you want to look good and nothing else then it's a good deal. I've driven that SOHC 160 hp piece of crap before, you hit the gas and you don't go anywhere, it's a big disappointment performance-wise, but it still looks sexy. Price, year, mileage-wise it's a good deal, close to what it should be, but always test drive first and check it out.

Re: Please Help: is this a good deal?

Well, for my first car I don't really need a fast car. I would be happy with any 3kgt. I would prefer a manual, and an sl, but I haven't been able to find one for this price and milage. How much more would a manual sl be? Also, its in miami and I am in TN, I would have to have it shipped without test driving it, which doesn't seem too good. It is really hard to find a good 3kgt deal though
