Have you ever wished.....

Ok, I admit I used to be one of those kids who loved cars so much that I took them everywhere I went in a lil backpack so I could play with them where ever.

But Don't you ever wish, with some of those cars you took everywhere, if you were like me, that you didn't treat them the way that you did when you were younger? Whether it's just carrying them where ever you go then dropping them, or just carrying them everywhere around the house, that you didn't treat them in the way you did? For example, my parents bought me a UT Models Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer and I took it everywhere I went and played with it where ever, and now it's all broken and torn up. I wish I hadn't done that because it was a really nice and well crafted model. Also, I did that with plent of my 1/43s my parents got me. Brought them everywhere, broke them almost to pieces. I wish so damn hard that I didn't carry them and just listened to my parents when they said "keep them in the box." I feel so shameful now because some of those cars I broke I can't buy anymore and I wish I had in mint condition. Sigh.....well, there's always eBay lol.

I do. Mine were ruined from playing in the sand box. They became so bad the wheels just got stuck. When I was about 9 or 10 and I realized they were useless I had a Hotwheels/Matchbox Bonfire in my driveway. It was cool. Wish I would have taken a picture now.

Re: Have you ever wished.....

I still have all of my MOY's and Lesney's. We used to race the MOY's down the driveway when I was a kid; but they never got torn up. I have lost the drivers out of the Ferrari and BMW F-1's but not "Jimmy's" Lotus. I did have to replace a few tires on the GT40 and BMW however. The yellow Mercer I put up several weeks ago is one that I had that was in the worst shape. Looks pretty good now. I haven't had to do anything to the Bentley, Bugatti, Stanley Steamer and Rolls. HW's weren't out then. Buy the time they were I had a real '55 Chevy, 2dr HT, 327 Vette motor, 4bbl. and a 3spd std. with an automatic rear end. It would only turn low 16's in a 1/4mile but would burry the speedo on the highway. My dad said I didn't need two cars and made me sell the "55 when I got my '70 MG Midget. Still have it. Its got about 500,000 miles on it. I wish I still had that '55 though.....As long as we're wishing.
