Things not done in the US but would love to see.

I remember a while back, when I visited England (London to be more precise), I was astonished that at mid day the office workers would be out at the pubs having their daily drinks, and then go back to work for the afternoon. I loved it.

What other daily custom thats done overseas do that you think would go well or not so well here in the states.

Fire away folks..

TS out (convince my boss of this new mid day pub policy)

In any of the places i've worked you would have got fired for doing that. I think most employers wouldn't allow it

I want more commercials with topless girls drinking Orange Juice or whatever. I think people would pay more attention to commercials then. Guys would anyway...and lesbians too...

Re: Things not done in the US but would love to see.

lower the drinking age. but honestly, i'v ebeen around high school kids drunk, and it's WAY not a pretty sight. So maybe not. Siesta! Like the Mexican midday shit. or something that ends in -iesta. I can't remember the word if siesta isn't it. yeah jut have EVERYONE stop EVERYTHING midday and just take an hour or so nap. I ALWAYS feel tired as HELL right about midday. it's perfect.

Well in Germany and stuff, kids are alot more responsible, IMO.
They dont get a Drivers Licence till 18, so no trafic accidents.
But imature teens here, drunk; you better watch your ass!

Re: Things not done in the US but would love to see.

Sign me up for the siesta plan. After only a 20 minute snooze I feel way better than I would after a midday trip to the pub.
