Blow off in neutral?
Ok I'm wondering why my 95 eclipse gsx doesnt release pressure through the blow off valve when in neutral and revving. Is it because the turbo does not wind up in neutral or what? If someone could explain this to me that would be cool.

Re: Blow off in neutral?
or maybe what i meant was wot is what makes the boost go up enough, no boost pressure , well very little you wont hear it blow off m i personally have dsmlink so i can floor it and it only goes up to 5500 and i get a little blow off action

Re: Blow off in neutral?
Im not sure but I think that in neutral, theres not enough pressure. In first gear, youll get more pressure and you should hear a BOV noise.
Also what have you done to your car? If theres no mods whatsoever, your not gonna hear much even when your flooring it down the highway.

Re: Blow off in neutral?
Are you still on the T25? If so you should be able to hear it. When I had my T25 I could neutral boost (maybe a couple psi) and blow off.

Re: Blow off in neutral?
If u have the 1st gen bov then hit the gas fast til it reach 5500 and release. it should squeel a bit. If u have after market, hit it to 4500 and u can hear the whole thing. Both done in neutral.

Re: Blow off in neutral?
yeah you should still hear the bov in neutral, depending on what kind it is....if it's aftermarket, your spring could be too tight. but anyway, you're not building up pressure by revving it in neutral because there is no load on the motor. you'll be lucky to see it spike at .5psi MAX in neutral.
